Trust Officer / VP

This is an extraordinary opportunity for the right candidate to work for a leading National Bank that desires to expand its Wealth Management Division. We are Liberty National Bank headquartered in Sioux City, IA with branch offices in Okoboji, N. Sioux City, Dakota Dunes, Elk Point, Jefferson and three branches in Sioux Falls.  This opportunity is available at the Sioux Falls or Dakota Dunes location.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new Wealth Management client relationships through proactive sales and relationship management efforts.
  • Manage, administer and retain high net worth trust and investment relationships, including 401k plan clients.
  • Facilitate the referral of high net worth clients and prospective clients to the Wealth Management Division, including investment management, 401k plan services, trust/fiduciary services and private banking services.
  • Actively participate in sales and development of trust, investment management, 401k plan services, and private banking prospects.
  • Initiate contacts for developing and closing new 401k plan services, investment management agency, personal trust and custodial business.
  • Meet with prospective clients to explain Wealth Management Division products and services, and maintain contact with existing clients and organizations regarding account performance, administrative matters, tax planning and other issues to ensure the client’s financial goals are being met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of wealth management, trust, investment management and sales experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with 401k plan services a plus, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, networking and relationship management/sales skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a very team-oriented environment along with trust officers, investment officers, banking officers and bank operations personnel.

Receptionist / Executive Assistant

Liberty National Bank in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant that is hard working, motivated, dependable & friendly for its Sioux Falls Downtown location.

Duties & qualifications include:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers calling & visiting the Bank location.
  • Acknowledge, disseminate & maintain all correspondence received.
  • Maintain files of pertinent documents/records adhering to strict confidentiality.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, ascertain caller needs and/or the subject of their call; take accurate messages as necessary & ensure delivery to intended party.
  • Perform highly skilled administrative & secretarial duties with attention to financial detail.
  • Serve as the personal representative of Bank Management through managing confidential information, handling customer calls, making appointments, composing correspondence, establishing & maintaining files.
  • Assist with Wealth Management operational needs by utilizing a trust accounting system to periodically execute & reconcile securities & cash management trades, performing daily/monthly asset reconciliations, maintaining files & other tasks as assigned.
  • Back-up for Tellers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organized.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills required.

Prior banking experience not required, but helpful. Bachelor's degree; or 4-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education & experience is required.

Hourly wage is negotiable depending on experience. Hours are typically Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with an occasional Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Opportunity for Experienced Mortgage Lender

Personal Banker duties & qualifications include:

  • Performs the functions of the new accounts area, including opening new demand deposit accounts, CDs, IRAs and other retail banking products through a broad understanding of bank products, cross sells additional bank products such as ATM / Debit cards and refers customers to other areas of the bank such as Wealth Management.
  • Coordinates consumer loan processing from the period of application through approval and closing in a timely manner, while providing quality customer service.
  • Supervises Teller Line and acts as back-up teller.
  • Self Motivated.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
